becoming a doctor...

Sometimes I wonder why I am doing this. Today, I was doing a little research on the costs of tuition at the medical schools where I want to go. Holy Cow!!! Tufts University in Boston, where I am interviewing next month checks in at a cool $44,000 a year. Just for tuition! That doesn't even include season tickets to the red sox and the celtics, which will clearly have to be added to our monthly budget. Are you kidding me! I haven't made $44,000 dollars in the last 5 years combined (I know, I know, you're all disappointed now that you know for sure that we're not high rollers). When I take out loans for the first year of medical school, I think I might die right there on the spot. I'll probably have to be resuscitated by the loan officer. Anyways, what's left of my rapidly advancing (receding) hairline will all be gone soon enough. Wish us luck!
