Can I discuss here? Won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't read it yet?

Okay, good.

I liked it, although I LITERALLY CRINGED every time I read the name Renesmee. Dumbest name ever. I can't believe she went with that one.

I was also a little freaked out in the middle when she was pregnant and they were making it all alien-ish. Thankfully, it turned out, but I was waiting for this thing to burst from her stomach and eat them all.

AND, I did like the big chunk from Jacob's eyes. I didn't like him in the other books, but I thought it was a clever twist to throw that in there. Good way to tell the story.

Finally, I was really happy about her turning, but I thought it was a little anti-climactic. I mean, he spent three books telling her how bad it was to be a vampire. Then suddenly, it's perfect? I would have liked a little more conflict there.

Oh, and more written detail about you-know-what. I'm a grown up. I can take it.

All in all, a good read. Not my favorite in the series, but it ended well, so I'm happy. Twilight will always be my favorite of all of them.

There. I'm done.

Bet you're sorry you asked now, aren't you? :-)

I am happy they're happy.
I was not thrilled with the Jacob section, I was bored out of my mind at several parts. I also did not like Jacob imprinting on the baby (still think that's creepy, no matter what they say -, & I too, cringed everytime I read the super lame name. I am happy that Bella & Edward are happy. So glad she got to become a mom before changing. I wished for a little more drama. Like Christie said, there's been 2500 pages about how hard, miserable, etc. etc., becoming a Vampire is and then she's nearly perfect at it. Maybe illusterating that she never belonged as a mortal. I also kind of wished for a battle at the end. If this is the FINAL book, let's finish the Voltury and be done. I loved how she came to love the wedding, her nerves at the wedding night, etc. I too could have used a little MORE in the romance department.
My 2 cents-

Overall I liked it. I like how it ended. Not my favorite book of the series. I thought the Jacob section was a little bit too long. Still a little freaked out about Jacob and Renesmee.

I'm okay with it. I kinda freaked out over the imprinting thing. But I think it ended as happily as it could for a weird vampire book....
Hope all is well in PA!
