Mrs. Holmes to Chandler: What do you want to be when you grow up?
Chandler: A Vetinarian.
Mrs. Holmes: That's great! You'll need to keep working really hard in school and follow directions, then you'll go to a special school so you can learn how to take care of animals."
...pause...
Chandler: Actually, I think I'll just work at Family Dollar.
(This is a sad one... but so cute...)
Mrs. Holmes to Kelbie: You seem sad today, sweetie, what's the matter?
Kelbie: Well, I have a brother who lives in heaven, and I've just been really worried about him.
Mrs. Holmes: How come?
Kelbie: I've just got a hunch that his babysitter forgot to pick him up from school yesterday.
MaiLia: My uncle's a veteran... he lives in New Zealand... no wait... he lives in Kansas.
Sara: Remember when I was a devil for Halloween? I thought you should know that I'm really not a devil, sometimes I just pretend to be one.
Sam: I've read this story before. Is this the one where the aliens live next door to the indians?
Mrs. Holmes: No.... that doesn't happen in this story....
Sam: Oh yeah, I think that was in real life.
Savannah: My mom thinks she's going to suprise me with new shoes for Christmas, but I decided to go ahead and wear them to school today.
Sara: I can't really run, Mrs. Holmes, I've got this nasty thing growing out of my blister, and my mom's real worried. She thinks it might be elected...
Mrs. Holmes: or infected?
Sara: Yeah, probably something like that.
Mrs. Holmes: Kelbie, you did a great job today. You worked so hard and got everything all done.
Kelbie: I know it! And for the first time all year! Way to go me!

I wish that each of my grandchildren could have the privilege of being in your class. You are wonderful! Uncle Robert
